The Pacific Southwest District covers 223,000 square miles with a population of more than 33 million people. Yet we have just over 8,300 Unitarian Universalists in our 50 congregations. We have a challenge before us as our region continues to grow in population to be ready to serve the increasing numbers of people looking for a religious tradition that is diverse and open. The Pacific Southwest District wants to be increasingly responsive to the needs of our congregations as we build for this challenge. We have created the Friends of the PSWD to help in this effort.
Working together we can make a difference. Your gift to Friends of Pacific Southwest District will help fund programs aimed at:
- Having healthy, vital congregations in the District
- Increasing the number of individual UUs and UU congregations in the District
- Promoting interconnectedness among UU congregations and organizations
Your gift to Friends will help fund the services PSWD offers to congregations–leadership training, assistance with growth-related issues, and consultations with congregations’ staff and volunteers–services that help congregations thrive.
